Hey Pat Rigsby here and in today’s episode, I want to talk with you about the weekly client machine. Let’s get started.
Welcome to the Fitness Business School podcast, the show for fitness business owners who want to grow their income, increase their impact and improve their lifestyle. Be sure to listen to the end of this episode because we have a brand new special offer exclusive for listeners. So stay tuned.
Recently, I shared a snapshot of what I call the weekly client machine with some clients in our in person mastermind meetings, and then turn around and did a workshop on it. And I’m not going to dive deep into the actual system itself out of respect to the people who attended the workshop and the exclusivity of that.
I want to. why having something like the weekly client machine is so important. See the idea behind the, this weekly client machine is so that we can make growing your business and filling your pipeline with new people and converting new people into clients, a repeatable habit, something that you can do over and over.
And that. Is probably the way that maybe 20 percent of businesses in our industry operate at best, more likely 10%. And it. I find it to be odd in some ways, but then maybe not in others. And let me explain. So when I say it’s odd, this is precisely what we ask clients to do. We ask clients to quote unquote, make it a lifestyle.
We say, Hey, come in train three days a week for an hour. That’s the training program we’re selling you. And then we give them some behaviors that probably would be very supportive of this pursuit when they’re at home. Whether it’s. continuing to be active, whether it’s getting enough rest, whether it’s adhering to some sort of nutritional approach, but what we’re not saying Is work like crazy for one day.
And if you don’t see all the results, then throw in the towel on it. What we’re not saying is there’s some magic bullet solution that’s going to come and rescue you from 10 years of unhealthy eating, what we’re saying is. These things compound over time. We’re saying that three hours a week of training out of 168 hours is a small commitment to make to be healthier, to feel better about yourself, to have a sense of accomplishment, to lose weight.
And if you do this consistently and change a few of these other behaviors, You’re going to see not only good results, but this, they’re going to be sustainable results. And I think logically, if I explain it that way, and if you were to look at your business and the way that you serve clients, you would understand that.
And yet very few businesses operate that way. Very few businesses grow their business and use that same kind of, that, that same kind of systematic approach to grow their business, but it works. It works over and it doesn’t have to be incredibly time consuming. It doesn’t have to be this overwhelming thing that takes up 30 hours a week on business growth activities.
It’s this thing that if you do it, a consistent number of hours each week, and that number of hours probably could be under five if you’re doing it well. And. You just keep executing the plan and over time the results compound. And over time you gain market share because your brand awareness grows and you position yourself as more of an authority because you’ve demonstrated, you’ve educated, you’ve motivated people.
And so if you want to build a better business, this kind of weekly client machine approach is one that I think is sustainable. It’s one that I believe that is. Probably Overlooked because of its simplicity, but that’s why it works. And if you think about programs like the biggest loser and why so many of those people gain their weight back and how so many people in our industry look down their nose at those, Or quick fix fad solutions.
Yet we fall for the ads that promise to flood your gym with 100 to 300 clients with no risk and whatever else. But we tell clients to avoid the acai berry scams. And if you want to build this stuff, you have to take your own advice because what works. And you have to find a way, whether it’s my approach to a weekly client machine or you craft your own and you build something that is sustainable.
That over time leads to the outcome that you want. So if you want to build a better business, the weekly client machine can really fill that void for you. And I’ll wrap up by saying, if you want to. Learn more about the weekly client machine. Shoot me a message, [email protected]. Just put WCM in the subject line and I’ll get you over details. We’ve tucked away the replay for the workshop we did, but I can see how we might be able to support you.
